When sunset parallels my windowscreen
River exhales quintessences of spring.
Sweet perfumes burst from gardens on the bank.
Smoke rises where boatmen roast a supper.
Quarreling sparrows scatter from their branches.
Above the porch swarms of insects whirl in air.
Celestial messengers come on sips of cloudy wine,
Slipping all my cares away to nothingness.
